U.S. probes electronics in Toyota recall
It's a bad thing all around. For Toyota. For those with problematic cars, and for those who have actually been hurt by this.
I've never been a fan of electronic throttle control. I know they use electrical control in brakes for traction control, but that's just an add on for the liquid (mechanical) control of the main braking action.
I have to say that I am glad I have a cable between the pedal of my car and the throttle. It's like having a face to face conversation with an old friend instead of sending an email.
